As the country’s sub-four meter UV segment continues to record strong growth, Toyota plans to make a comeback in the segment with its all-new Tazer SUV. Earlier, Toyota had a rebadged urban cruiser model of Brezza on sale in this segment.

Don’t Miss: After Honda and Kia, Toyota has taken that decision and the car comes in five single-tone and two dual-tone color options. With the tagline ‘Make Your Way’, the Toyota Taser will all go head-to-head with rivals like the Renault Kyger, Nissan Magnite, Citroen C3 and other sub-four meter SUV models like the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV300. Although the vehicle’s sheet metal looks are quite similar to the Fronx, the Toyota Taser has a different fascia. This makeover of the vehicle is made possible by updated headlamps and DRLs, new front and rear bumpers, a new set of alloy wheels and revised tail lamps. On the inside, it’s also worth noting that the dashboard and plastic trims are similar to the Fronx.
Don’t Miss: A cheap Toyota car with 29 km mileage! Although people are already queuing up, there are minor differences in the vehicle’s interior color themes and upholstery. Meanwhile the list of features is similar to Fronx. The company has not added any new features to the Toyota Taser. Reports suggest that Toyota is offering a longer standard warranty to attract customers. The Toyota Taser is expected to feature a 9.0-inch touchscreen, heads-up display, wireless charger, 360-degree view camera, and very comprehensive connectivity features. The engine options of the Toyota Taser will also be borrowed from the Maruti Franks.
Apple researchers on Friday released a preprint paper on its ReALM large language model and claimed that it can “substantially outperform” OpenAI’s GPT-4 in particular benchmarks. ReALM can supposedly understand and handle different contexts. In theory, this will allow users to point to something on the screen or running in the background and query the language model about it.
Reference resolution is a linguistic problem of understanding what a particular expression is referring to. For example, when we speak, we use references like “they” or “that.” Now, what these words are referring to might be obvious to humans who can understand based on context. But a chatbot like ChatGPT may sometimes struggle to understand exactly what you are referring to.
This ability to understand exactly what is being referred to would be very important to chatbots. The ability for users to refer to something on a screen using “that” or “it” or another word and having a chatbot understand it perfectly would be crucial in creating a truly hands free screen experience, according to Apple.
This latest paper from Apple is the third one on AI that it published in the last few months. While it is still early to predict anything, these papers could be thought of as an early teaser of features that the company plans to include in its software offerings like iOS and macOS.
In the paper, researchers wrote that they want to use ReALM to understand and identify three kinds of entities — onscreen entities, conversational entities, and background entities. Onscreen entities are things that are displayed on the user’s screen. Conversational entities are those that are relevant to the conversation. For example, if you say “what workouts am I supposed to do today?” to a chatbot, it should be able to work out from previous conversations that you are on a 3-day workout schedule and what the schedule for the day is.
Background entities are those things that do not fall into the previous two categories but are still relevant. For example, there could be a podcast playing in the background or a notification that just rang. Apple wants ReALM to be able to understand when a user refers to these as well.
“We demonstrate large improvements over an existing system with similar functionality across different types of references, with our smallest model obtaining absolute gains of over 5 per cent for on-screen references. We also benchmark against GPT-3.5 and GPT-4, with our smallest model achieving performance comparable to that of GPT-4, and our larger models substantially outperforming it,” wrote the researchers in the paper.
But do note that with GPT-3.5, which only accepts text, the researchers’ input was just the prompt alone. But with GPT-4, they also provided a screenshot for the task, which helped improve performance substantially.
“Note that our ChatGPT prompt and prompt+image formulation are, to the best of our knowledge, in and of themselves novel. While we believe it might be possible to further improve results, for example, by sampling semantically similar utterances up until we hit the prompt length, this more complex approach deserves further, dedicated exploration, and we leave this to future work,” added the researchers in the paper.
So while ReALM works better than GPT-4 in this particular benchmark, it would be far from accurate to say that the former is a better model than the latter. It is just that ReALM beat GPT in a benchmark that it was specifically designed to be good at. It is also not immediately clear when or how Apple plans to integrate ReALM into its products.

Tesla is a bit late to the budget EV game, with the MG 4 and BYD Dolphin both coming in at under £25,000, and the new Renault 5 E-Tech is set to come in at under this figure as well. Hoping to get in on the action, a new entry-level Tesla EV is coming next year.
Details are thin on the ground for this car, with not even a name being confirmed yet, but it’ll feature a whole raft of new technology to keep costs down, and it’s going to be built using more efficient manufacturing techniques to help drive the price down even further.
So how much will the new Tesla hatchback cost? Well it’s a little tricky to put an exact figure on it at this point. Elon Musk claims it’ll cost less than $25,000, which is around £22,000, and it will be approximately 50% cheaper to build than the Model 3 and Model Y.
What happened to the Tesla Roadster?
Cast your mind back seven years. Ed Sheeran had just released Shape of You, the Alpine A110 had just been revealed, and Elon Musk promised to build a new supercar which would go from 0-60mph in under 1.9 seconds.
Well seven years on and the new Tesla Roadster still hasn’t come to fruition. The Honda Civic has gone through two generations in that time, but Musk recently took to X (formerly known as Twitter) promising to launch the car in 2025.
He’s also touting some insane new performance figures. In the post on X, Musk claims the new Roadster will be able to do 0-60mph in less than 1.0 second thanks to, wait for it, rockets. This should probably be taken with more than a pinch of salt though, because even if a car like this was to become reality there’s a good chance it would be cancelled before it ever makes production.
Is the Tesla Cybertruck coming to the UK?
It’s best not to be too sceptical about the new Tesla Roadster though, because Tesla has finally managed to bring the Cybertruck into production. This is one insane-looking electric pickup truck, with a design resembling a rolling axe head, but will it come to the UK?

Well it’s not looking hopeful. While you can gawk at the Cybertruck’s specs on the Tesla UK website, the option to put down a deposit was taken away a fair few months ago. It’s the same story in Europe, and there’s no sign of this changing any time soon.
Those living in the USA can get a Cybertruck for £66,000, rising to £82,000 for the tri-motor Cyberbeast model . A cheaper rear-wheel drive model will also be coming in 2025 costing £50,000.
